Hello!
MY NAME IS TIKI
I am a mixed media artist who works with acrylic & oil paints, alcohol inks, resin, and really whatever strikes my fancy. I returned to painting in my adult years when I realized that I am happiest when I am creating. My goal is to do those things which feed true happiness so that all I do is infused with my passion. My hope is that my art will bring joy, peace, and healing to people when they see & experience it. I truly believe that art speaks... and sometimes sings too.
I am a coffee aficionado, a lover of nature, a singer, songwriter, and creative in life. Nature and it's colors are often my muse and I find great peace in the outdoors. I am fiercely loyal to my friends and close family. I've been married for 21 years to my husband, Matthew, and am more in love with him now than ever before. I have 2 beautiful daughters, Myakka and Vanora, that are courageous, strong, bad boss ninjas. My greatest pet peeves are when people waste my time or underestimate me. My favorite saying is, "It is what it is." I've learned to roll with the punches, but also to punch back. (metaphorically speaking)
Every day is a new day to learn something new, and I'm on a journey to do just that.
Ode

We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams; —
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.
With wonderful deathless ditties
We build up the world's great cities,
And out of a fabulous story
We fashion an empire's glory:
One man with a dream, at pleasure,
Shall go forth and conquer a crown;
And three with a new song's measure
Can trample a kingdom down.
We, in the ages lying,
In the buried past of the earth,
Built Nineveh with our sighing,
And Babel itself in our mirth;
And o'erthrew them with prophesying
To the old of the new world's worth;
For each age is a dream that is dying,
Or one that is coming to birth.
